Hashim Ahmed
Interim Chief Executive Officer
Prior to joining Nova, Mr. Ahmed was with Jaguar Mining, where he served as Chief Financial Officer since 2016. Mr. Ahmed has approximately 20 years of experience in finance, accounting, tax, and corporate governance. He obtained his CA/CPA designation with PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP and later worked with Ernst & Young LLP in their advisory practice. Mr. Ahmed also worked with Barrick Gold for seven years, where he held progressively senior positions in finance functions. Mr. Ahmed is a member of the Board of Directors of Stratabound Minerals and a Member of the Audit Committee of the Government of Ontario.
Bill Tsang
Interim Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Tsang brings more than 15 years of accounting experience in the mineral exploration and mining industry focusing on financial reporting, regulatory compliance, internal controls, and corporate finance activities. Mr. Tsang has held numerous CFO positions with publicly traded entities. He has worked in public practice providing professional services and advice to publicly traded companies on the NYSE, TSX-V and OTC markets, on various public reporting services, such as audit requirements, qualifying transactions for reverse takeover, mergers and acquisitions, and financing transactions. Mr. Tsang holds a bachelor of commerce from the University of British Columbia and is a chartered professional accountant and chartered accountant.
Brian Ferrey
Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy
Mr. Ferrey joined Nova Royalty in 2021 and has been involved with the Company in an advisory capacity since 2018. He brings experience across capital markets and mining finance and has been involved with over $2bn in mining royalty and streaming transactions. Prior to joining Nova, Mr. Ferrey was most recently Director, Investment Banking at CIBC Capital Markets in Vancouver, where he specialized in the metals and mining sector. Prior to this, he held positions at Denham Capital Management, where he focused on mining investments across North and South America (specifically in Canada, Chile, Peru, and Brazil), and at UBS Securities Canada, where he worked concurrently in the Equity Capital Markets and Global Mining Investment Banking groups. Mr. Ferrey holds an Honours Business Administration degree from the Ivey Business School at Western University, where he graduated as an Ivey Scholar.
Greg DiTomaso
Vice President, Investor Relations
Greg DiTomaso has over 15 years of investor relations and strategic communications experience, predominantly in the mining and energy sectors. Over the course of his career, Mr. DiTomaso has advised and supported the senior management teams of over 30 publicly-traded companies on their investor relations, transaction communications (M&A, financings, recapitalizations), and crisis communications efforts.
Prior to joining Nova Royalty, Mr. DiTomaso was Senior Director, Capital Markets at NATIONAL Public Relations, and served as Director, Investor Relations for TSX-listed precious metals producer Mandalay Resources Corp. Mr. DiTomaso holds a BA and MA from the University of Toronto, and an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
Kim Casswell
Corporate Secretary
Ms. Casswell has been the Corporate Secretary of several public companies listed on TSX-V and the Toronto Stock Exchange since 1994, and has been providing independent corporate secretary services since 1995. Ms. Casswell has played an important role in the growth of these companies and is familiar with bEst governing public companies in several jurisdictions. Ms. Casswell has been and currently still is Corporate Secretary of a number of TSX Venture Exchange listed junior exploration companies.
